Excursiones a lugares de interés de Alicante
Alicante es una provincia rica en patrimonio cultural y natural. A lo largo de toda la costa disponemos de una gran multitud de poblaciones que vale la pena visitar para contemplar la combinación de arquitectura mediterránea y naturaleza marítima. Sin duda, esta gran mezcla hace de algunos lugares de interés de Alicante indispensables para, al menos, una excursión.
En Hotel Almirante te animamos a aprovechar tu estancia con nosotros y visitar los diferentes puntos de interés de la provincia. Altea, Calpe o Agres son lugares que no podemos dejar escapar si estamos en Alicante. Altea
Altea es el primero de los lugares de interés de Alicante que queremos destacar. Se trata de un municipio situado en la comarca alicantina de la Marina Baja. Es famosa por contar con multitud de monumentos que, si vas a pasar el día en el lugar, son obligatorios de ver.
De entre todos ellos, desde Hotel Almirante destacamos algunos como el Fornet o el pueblo antiguo. Se trata de la zona más antigua de Altea y está repleta de callejuelas llenas de encanto. El Paseo Marítimo es un lugar de paso obligatorio para disfrutar de la brisa marina de Altea y degustar una copa en alguna de sus terrazas.
Calpe
Continuando con las poblaciones de la costa alicantina, Calpe es otro de los lugares de interés indispensables. Con su famoso Peñón de Ifach, es el lugar perfecto para un día de senderismo subiendo el macizo rocoso más famoso de nuestra costa.
La subida al Peñón de Ifach está totalmente acondicionada para subir a pie, aunque hay distintos tramos que son más complicados que otros. La subida es dura, pero las vistas que se contemplan desde las alturas hacen que el esfuerzo valga la pena.
Agres
Si dejamos la costa y nos adentramos en el interior de Alicante, junto a la Sierra de Mariola, encontramos el pueblo de Agres. Lleno de empinadas cuestas, es el punto de comienzo de multitud de rutas de senderismo por la sierra, siendo algo recomendable visitar los pozos de nieve a través de la Ruta de les Caves.
Si prefieres algo más tranquilo, en la parte más alta de Agres encontrarás el paisaje único del Santuario de la Virgen del Castillo. Un paraje natural rodeado de vegetación y caminos empedrados que es una delicia para los amantes de la fotografía.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and have booked to stay again in September, thank you muchos :)VerificadaSld1107/04/2024A hidden gem We booked this hotel for a last minute get away as the weather was so bad in the UK. A much needed break was needed due to heavy work commitments over the past few months. We booked a premium room - it overlooked the pool / garden area. The room decor and bathroom were of a high standard - plenty of storage, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, powerful shower and Karl Lagerfeld toiletries. We stayed on a breakfast only basis. The dining room wasn’t your usual chaotic scramble for food but a pleasant, calm experience. The food was of a good standard, all fresh with a good variety. There were tables inside and out on the patio. We mainly opted for outside as it was a welcome change to eat in the sunshine. Beware of the birds as they are quite tame and if food is left they swoop in on your table. The pool area was so chilled and lovely. There is a separate garden area with deckchairs and in the summer months a small pool bar. As it was low season we could always get a sunbed. The pool is not heated but we did brave it and once in it was okay. You can hire pool towels for a ten euro deposit. The hotel is spotlessly clean along with the outside / garden areas being very well kept. The staff are all polite and we found the reception staff really helpful. My husband hired a bike for a few hours for a reasonable price. The area on first glance is full of high rise accommodation- it’s clear that this area is maybe a Spanish second home resort. If you look beyond the ‘high rises’ though the area has a lot to offer. It’s easily accessible from the airport using the C6 bus to Alicante followed by the L3 tram. The tram goes right along the coast as far as Benidorm where you can pick up the train to Altea or Denia. The promenade stretches for miles and miles. We walked to El Campello one way and then to the lighthouse the other way. The beach was very clean and the water very clear. There’s lots of restaurants along the prom or inland in the town area. We visited Alicante (L3) one evening - 20 mins on the tram. We also visited Vila Joyousa - tram to El Campello (L3) then switch to L1 Benidorm. I would recommend this lovely hotel and area. We had a much needed relaxed break in the sun.VerificadaAlison K06/04/2024Few days away in beach resort just outside Alicante. Fantastic hotel. Should be a 4 star hotel! Breakfast is extensive and fresh. The hotel is quiet and understated but absolutely delightful. Practically on the beach front with a beautiful pool area. Tram takes you into Alicante in about 20 mins. We stayed here for two nights at the end of a few days visiting family. I mainly chose it because it was close to the beach and had a car park so it was a very nice surprise to find that we loved it. Built in 1964, it is on a smaller scale than most of the surrounding buildings. It is set in pleasant grounds with a lovely pool, down a drive so it is not close to the road. Our room and bathroom were good, and we had a balcony looking onto the pool and garden. It has mostly been refurbished, and some rooms are still being worked on. The restaurant and bar area are very pleasant and the food is delicious. There are nice sofas and magazines set out in the public area. The service is excellent, and there is a new spa on site, but I did not use it. The location is good, right by the beach and with the tramline at the end of the drive so you can go into Alicante.Verificadaphil05/03/2024Hôtel de charme idéalement situé Accueil chaleureux et professionnel de tout le personnel. Vivement notre prochain séjour !VerificadaJeannette E04/03/2024Exceptional hotel wish we had stayed longer Wonderful find this spotlessly clean hotel is, every member of staff were friendly and helpful too. The buffet breakfast was top class, I was delighted to see my favourite smoked salmon which I had with perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. The only thing this hotel could improve on is to add more power outlets to the bedrooms, there was only one and we had a room with 3 single beds. Great location too, a short walk away from the tram station so a trip to the centre of Alicante was easy (€1.45 each, each way), we could of gone the opposite direction to Benidorm too if we had stayed longer. We didn't make use of the swimming pool but it looked very well looked after as did all the grounds.VerificadaLaurie S30/05/2022Great hotel, clean and quiet Lovely hotel and very clean. We had a corner room so had amazing views of both the pool and the beach. Both the room and the bathroom were a really good size with plenty of storage. This hotel is located in a quiet part of Alicante which suited us during the day. There is a limited bar service by the pool. We would have preferred it if the pool opened at 10am or a bit earlier - 10:30 am seemed quite late. There was a good selection for breakfast. We did eat in the hotel restaurant one evening. The food was tasty but the menu was quite limited and it was more expensive than other restaurants in the centre of Alicante. The mojitos were excellent! We went at the end of May which doesn't seem to be high season, as the restaurants near the hotel / beach weren't open in the evening. It was easy enough to get a tram to the main part of the town, with the tram station only five minutes walk from the hotel and the journey taking less than 15 minutes; this was also cheap. We got taxis back later which cost about 15 euros. Taxis to / from the airport took about 25 minutes and cost about 40 euros. We would definitely go back.
