Lugares destacados de Alicante

La Playa de San Juan de Alicante es uno de los lugares más destacados de la provincia, apenas a 2 minutos del Hotel Almirante. Sin embargo, existen multitud de sitios que visitar en nuestra provincia para conocer su cultura y gastronomía.

Desde Hotel Almirante vamos a recomendarte algunos de ellos que consideramos de especial interés y que se encuentran cerca. Castillos, senderismo, buena comida y gente simpática, sin duda Alicante es un lugar por descubrir.

Cuevas de Canelobre

Las Cuevas de Canelobre se encuentran en Busot, a 24 km de Alicante, a 700 m. de altitud y en la falda septentrional del Cabeçó D’Or. El interior de estas cuevas cuenta con estalactitas y estalagmitas de muchas formas, desde candelabros naturales hasta animales, siempre bañados por las luces de las instalaciones.

Su bóveda natural se asemeja a una catedral y es una de las más altas de España. Además, su acústica permite que se realicen actuaciones musicales por las noches. Sin duda una opción a tener en cuenta para descubrir la magia de Alicante.

La Isla de Tabarca

La Isla de Tabarca se encuentra frente a la costa de Santa Pola. Es una de las islas más grandes de la Comunidad Valenciana y fue un antiguo refugio de piratas berberiscos. Más tarde fue un pueblo de pescadores y en la actualidad se ha convertido en un auténtico reclamo turístico lleno de cosas por descubrir.

Tabarca es un paraíso marítimo con aguas cristalinas y perfecto para pasar un día disfrutando del mar Mediterráneo.  Cuenta con una reserva natural protegida en la que podrás practicar el buceo con snorkel, además, tiene multitud de calas donde disfrutar de un baño tranquilo.

Si esto no es suficiente, cuenta con varios restaurantes costeros en los que saborear los mejores arroces alicantinos o un buen caldero. Sin duda, se trata de uno de los pueblos costeros con encanto más destacados de la comunidad.

Fuentes del Algar

Las Fuentes del Algar se encuentran a 3 km de Callosa de Ensarrià, una población cercana a Benidorm. Se trata de un emplazamiento con una gran riqueza ecológica, con flora y fauna por descubrir.

Las Fuentes del Algar cuentan con 1,5 km del río homónimo para disfrutar de sus manantiales y cascadas, con espacios para bañarse y pasar un buen día a remojo con la mejor compañía.

Relaxing stay in Alicante Super friendly and clean stay! The hotel is in a great location, so close to a lovely clean sandy beach, Super comfy bed, fab shower and tasty food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and have booked to stay again in September, thank you muchos :)

A hidden gem We booked this hotel for a last minute get away as the weather was so bad in the UK. A much needed break was needed due to heavy work commitments over the past few months. We booked a premium room - it overlooked the pool / garden area. The room decor and bathroom were of a high standard - plenty of storage, fridge, tea & coffee making facilities, powerful shower and Karl Lagerfeld toiletries. We stayed on a breakfast only basis. The dining room wasn’t your usual chaotic scramble for food but a pleasant, calm experience. The food was of a good standard, all fresh with a good variety. There were tables inside and out on the patio. We mainly opted for outside as it was a welcome change to eat in the sunshine. Beware of the birds as they are quite tame and if food is left they swoop in on your table. The pool area was so chilled and lovely. There is a separate garden area with deckchairs and in the summer months a small pool bar. As it was low season we could always get a sunbed. The pool is not heated but we did brave it and once in it was okay. You can hire pool towels for a ten euro deposit. The hotel is spotlessly clean along with the outside / garden areas being very well kept. The staff are all polite and we found the reception staff really helpful. My husband hired a bike for a few hours for a reasonable price. The area on first glance is full of high rise accommodation- it’s clear that this area is maybe a Spanish second home resort. If you look beyond the ‘high rises’ though the area has a lot to offer. It’s easily accessible from the airport using the C6 bus to Alicante followed by the L3 tram. The tram goes right along the coast as far as Benidorm where you can pick up the train to Altea or Denia. The promenade stretches for miles and miles. We walked to El Campello one way and then to the lighthouse the other way. The beach was very clean and the water very clear. There’s lots of restaurants along the prom or inland in the town area. We visited Alicante (L3) one evening - 20 mins on the tram. We also visited Vila Joyousa - tram to El Campello (L3) then switch to L1 Benidorm. I would recommend this lovely hotel and area. We had a much needed relaxed break in the sun.

Few days away in beach resort just outside Alicante. Fantastic hotel. Should be a 4 star hotel! Breakfast is extensive and fresh. The hotel is quiet and understated but absolutely delightful. Practically on the beach front with a beautiful pool area. Tram takes you into Alicante in about 20 mins. Loved my stay and would highly recommend.

Highly recommend Excellent hotel in a perfect location beside what is a superb beach. I would recommend spending a little extra on a panaromic room and inclusive breakfast. Very friendly and polite staff throughout the hotel from reception, bar, house keeping etc.....

A lovely hotel in a good location. We stayed here for two nights at the end of a few days visiting family. I mainly chose it because it was close to the beach and had a car park so it was a very nice surprise to find that we loved it. Built in 1964, it is on a smaller scale than most of the surrounding buildings. It is set in pleasant grounds with a lovely pool, down a drive so it is not close to the road. Our room and bathroom were good, and we had a balcony looking onto the pool and garden. It has mostly been refurbished, and some rooms are still being worked on. The restaurant and bar area are very pleasant and the food is delicious. There are nice sofas and magazines set out in the public area. The service is excellent, and there is a new spa on site, but I did not use it. The location is good, right by the beach and with the tramline at the end of the drive so you can go into Alicante.

Hôtel de charme idéalement situé Accueil chaleureux et professionnel de tout le personnel. Décoration très soignée. Jardins et piscine très bien entretenus ainsi que l'entièreté de l'hôtel. Chambre Panorama : époustouflante face à la mer. Lit super confortable. Restaurant et buffet du petit-déjeuner de haute tenue. Vivement notre prochain séjour !

Exceptional hotel wish we had stayed longer Wonderful find this spotlessly clean hotel is, every member of staff were friendly and helpful too. The buffet breakfast was top class, I was delighted to see my favourite smoked salmon which I had with perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. The only thing this hotel could improve on is to add more power outlets to the bedrooms, there was only one and we had a room with 3 single beds. Great location too, a short walk away from the tram station so a trip to the centre of Alicante was easy (€1.45 each, each way), we could of gone the opposite direction to Benidorm too if we had stayed longer. We didn't make use of the swimming pool but it looked very well looked after as did all the grounds.

Great hotel, clean and quiet Lovely hotel and very clean. We had a corner room so had amazing views of both the pool and the beach. Both the room and the bathroom were a really good size with plenty of storage. This hotel is located in a quiet part of Alicante which suited us during the day. There is a limited bar service by the pool. We would have preferred it if the pool opened at 10am or a bit earlier - 10:30 am seemed quite late. There was a good selection for breakfast. We did eat in the hotel restaurant one evening. The food was tasty but the menu was quite limited and it was more expensive than other restaurants in the centre of Alicante. The mojitos were excellent! We went at the end of May which doesn't seem to be high season, as the restaurants near the hotel / beach weren't open in the evening. It was easy enough to get a tram to the main part of the town, with the tram station only five minutes walk from the hotel and the journey taking less than 15 minutes; this was also cheap. We got taxis back later which cost about 15 euros. Taxis to / from the airport took about 25 minutes and cost about 40 euros. We would definitely go back.
